We have now entered examination season and we wish all of our pupils sitting exams the very best of luck. Attendance to school during the exam period remains compulsory for Year 11 until Half term. We have planned revision sessions and exam support in all lessons to ensure staying in school is valuable and supportive.
I am really pleased to share with you the success of Grace Olaleru for winning the National Seren Oxplore Essay Competition with a piece of work title, ‘Do you make your own luck?’.
We recently supported Stephen Lawrence Day through our PSE curriculum where pupils studied and discussed the life of Stephen Lawrence and the key messages of the day.
We have been running a number of initiatives this year with the aim of providing some enjoyable experiences for pupils. These have included Newport County in the Community Sports sessions, trips to the theatre, mentoring sessions and one to one support. We are now adding to this with opportunities to participate in fishing and nail beauty sessions.
Kindest Regards,
Mr D Lawlor
