Rememberance Day Assembly

December 18th, 2014 by Sarah Turnham

On Friday 14th November, the year 7 history group produced a spectacular Remembrance Day assembly.  They thought of this brilliant idea all by themselves and worked together as a class to create an emotional reminder of the world around us.  Lily Drew made a touching tribute to her stepfather who has been recently fighting in Afghanistan.  The assembly focused on the tragic events of World War 1 and reminded us that we should never and will not forget.  The assembly included a piece of music called ‘The Last Post’ played by Jordan and Lowri on a cornet and trumpet.  Overall it was an amazing assembly.
