As you will know, the school is closed due to industrial action by NASUWT members on Tuesday 11th, Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th February 2020.
We are keen to minimise the impact of this action on your child’s progress and we are providing English, mathematics and science work for these days. Please find below work we would encourage your child/children to do during these three days:
Key Stage 3 pupils are to complete two writing tasks out of a choice of four. Each task must be planned appropriately beforehand using the guidance given. Of course, pupils are permitted to complete all writing tasks if they wish. There is also a reading comprehension for pupils to complete.

Please note, Year 11 pupils also have access to the ‘English Language Google Classroom’ where they will find a number of resources to help them practise various Unit 2 and 3 reading and writing skills.
All work submitted will be marked by an English teacher and rewarded with merits (or Prom Points for Year 11). Work completed electronically can be emailed to a member of the English department; work completed on paper can be handed in to class teachers
Pupils are to log onto the relevant Google Classroom. They will have differentiated objectives and Hegarty clips to work through (to at least amber standard). Scores will contribute to their next progress score at Easter.
Science work for all year groups can be located on the relevant google classroom pages. All work is to be completed electronically and submitted to the relevant teacher.
Many thanks for your continued support.
