Drama Club Performance at the Riverfront Theatre

January 29th, 2016 by Sarah Turnham

As part of The Riverfront’s commemorative programme of events marking the centenery of World War 1, Llanwern High school were invited to present an evening of drama and music reflecting on the Great War. Pupil’s from the Lower School Drama Club worked incredibly hard and performed “Archie Dobson’s War”. A moving and poignant play which looks at the 4 years of war through the eyes of a young boy.

This production was fantastic and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house as the pupils depicted how the war impacted so many in Newport and South Wales.   Well done to all pupils who took part in this you really did yourself proud.
