CCF Cambrian Patrol Competition

May 5th, 2015 by Sarah Turnham

Over the weekend of the 24th to 26th April, Llanwern CCF entered the Cambrian Patrol Competition   This involved competing against other CCFs from England and Wales in a selection of Military tasks.  The Junior Patrol completed six stands on Saturday before tackling a written test, march and shoot on Sunday.  For this they achieved a fantastic Silver medal and the section commander, CpL Rugless won the best Junior Commander. The Senior Patrol started by giving a set of orders, march and a shoot, followed by 4.5 hours of lying in an observation post.  On Sunday the Seniors then completed the same six stands as the Junior team (in less time).  They were awarded a Bronze medal. Big well done to everyone who took part in this tough competition. Awesome effort.
