Congratulations to Joshua Duncan and Amelia Campbell on their success at being selected to be out Senior Prefects in school. They both excelled themselves at the interviews in school and will be excellent role models to all of our pupils.  Good luck both!

Well done to Tegan Rotheram, Lucy Watkins and Kacey Woodcock for being selected for the District Netball Team. Awesome achievement!

21.09.2016 Year 7 Rugby

Well done to our Year 7 Rugby boys on their first game of the year. They played at Duffryn High School against Caldicot, Duffryn and St Julian’s.  The scores were  – lost 7-5 to Duffryn, beat Caldicot 15-0 and beat St Julian’s 10-0.  Awesome first game and a great start to the season.  Keep up the good work boys!

21.09.2016 Gymnastics Club

We had an awesome turnout for the start of our Gymnastics Club after school yesterday.  We hope that each and every one of you have a fantastic time during this session.  Well done for participating!

20.09.2016 Christian Malcolm

We had a surprise visit from Christian Malcolm in school yesterday much to the enjoyment of our Academy pupils.  We are very much looking forward to having Christian here on Thursday presenting at our prestigious Awards Evening in school.

20.09.2016 Mason Jarvis and Lewys Pocock

Well done to Mason and Lewys on completing their 50 mile charity bike ride along the Taff Trail on Saturday.  The boys have managed to raise over a staggering £1000 for St David’s Hospice.  This charity is close to both boys hearts.  Awesome effort we are all so proud of you!

16.09.2016 Marvelous Milers

Well done to all our Year 7 pupils who are currently taking part in the ‘Daily Mile’ initiative.  We have Claire Roberts in school who is the Physagogy teacher working with pupils to help them achieve their ‘Daily Mile’ goal.  The Marvelous Milers are the ambassadors for our school and will be running one mile every Friday working up to running one mile per school day.

Well done all on this achievement we wish you the very best of luck in hitting your target!

16.09.2016 European Petanque Championships for Women

Gemma Foster (Resource Base Manager at school) represented Wales in the European Petanque Championships for Women in Bratislava in Slovakia. They played Belgium, Netherlands, Monaco, Greece, Germany, Bulgaria and Jersey.  Well done Miss Foster we are all very proud of you and wish you well in the next competition.

15.09.2016 Year 11 Family Engagement Day

Many thanks to Addision Gordon-Evans, Delyth Dwyer, Erin Rose-Welton and Bailey Shefford for helping out at our Year 11 Core Family Engagement Day.  They greeted parents and escorted them to meet with teachers in school.  Awesome effort guys!
